Pumpkin of the week #3: Porcelain Doll

This pink pumpkin – yes pink – has very thick sweet flesh, is medium sized, blocky and deeply ribbed. It is surprisingly heavy for it’s size, weighing in at about 20 pounds!
You might not want to carve it, because the flesh is so thick, but it is a very pretty colour for any fall display and the sweet flesh can be used for both pies and soups.
